Therapeutic supervised visitation is a court-ordered service that allows parenting to have parenting time with their child(ren) in a structured environment supervised by a mental health professional1. The purpose of this service is to address barriers, promote safety, permanency, and improve the well-being for children. It is used for parents who cannot have unsupervised access to their children due to a history of child physical or sexual abuse, domestic violence, substance abuse, or mental illness.
