Registered Clinical Social Work Intern

More About Me

Hello! My name is Tatianna Gonzalez, and I am a Registered Clinical Social Work Intern dedicated to helping individuals navigate life’s challenges and achieve emotional well-being. I earned my bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Florida State University and my master’s degree in Social Work from Florida Atlantic University.

I am passionate about creating a safe and supportive space where clients can process emotions, heal from unresolved trauma, develop effective coping strategies, and reframe negative thought patterns. My therapeutic approach is collaborative and tailored to each individual’s unique needs. I utilize evidence-based practices, including:

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) – to help restructure negative cognitive distortions
  • Solution-Focused Therapy – to promote practical, goal-oriented change
  • Psychodynamic Therapy – to explore past experiences and their impact on the present
  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) – to build psychological flexibility and resilience

I have extensive experience working with individuals facing high-acuity mental health challenges, substance use concerns, child welfare involvement, and life transitions. My work spans diverse populations, including children, teens, adults, and families.

Born in Miami, FL, I have also lived in New Jersey, Georgia, and Connecticut, giving me a deep appreciation for diverse perspectives. My passion for helping others began early, volunteering in Puerto Rico following natural disasters and working with the American Red Cross to provide crisis intervention. Additionally, I have volunteered in hospice care, hospitals, and early childhood education settings, gaining valuable insight into supporting individuals across the lifespan.

With experience working with individuals ages 2 to 75, I am here to help you process unresolved experiences from childhood, develop coping skills tailored to your needs, and shift perspectives toward empowerment and healing. Whether through telehealth, in-person office visits, or school-based sessions, I strive to make therapy accessible and meaningful.

Starting therapy can feel intimidating, but it can also be the first step toward lasting change. Together, we will work toward your goals in a supportive and nonjudgmental space. Take the first step today—schedule an appointment, and let’s begin your healing journey.
