My name is Sheila St. Fleur, and I am a Registered Clinical Social Work Intern. I received my bachelor's degree and master's degree in social work from Florida International University in Miami, FL. Currently, I am pursuing licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
I have experience with providing individual therapy, group therapy, and case management services in different settings including as a certified addiction counselor, primarily focusing on mental health. Also, I have worked with children, teenagers, and adults. I practice therapy methods using tools within the cognitive behavioral, solution focus, along with trauma-informed care. My passion includes supporting clients to cope with life’s stressors and encouraging them to live a life of success by empowering them with self-motivation skills to aid them in overcoming the obstacles that prevent them from achieving their goals. My approach fosters a collaborative therapeutic relationship while meeting the clients where they are as I understand everyone has had different life experiences and will have a unique healing process. I strive to support clients and their families in processing emotions, identifying triggers, noticing red flags, and enhancing their coping techniques to decrease symptoms and manage everyday challenges. My commitment to promoting an overall healthy well-being, coupled with my diverse experiences in the field and aiding individuals from all walks of life, encourages clients to make a positive difference in their lives. I am dedicated and compassionate to cultivating a warm safe space without judgment and welcome all who would like to come in and allow me to be a part of their healing journey. My motto is to never give up on yourself.
To set an appointment today I am available via telehealth. I also do my ultimate best to accommodate my client's needs by being flexible and working around their schedule as I know almost everyone has a busy lifestyle. I look forward to meeting you.
