My name is Lymar Shaw, and I am a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern with the State of Florida. I am also a Doctoral candidate with The Virginia University of Lynchburg. My ideal clients are those that are experiencing trauma as a result of their experiences with, abandonment issues, abuse and issues concerning neglect. As a clinician with lived experiences, I believe in the power of healing from the inside out. I believe that a safe environment promotes a place for positive divulgement, enlightenment, empowerment and enrichment of the client. There is power in the voice and a greater strength in the power to seek out therapy and a fulfilled and better life. I am here to take every step forward as well as backward with you through you process in life.
My desire is to offer sanctuary, serenity and a sense if calm to the lives of all those that I encounter. My goal is to walk closely with the client and to reach one problem, once issue, one obstacle, one movement at a time and at the timeframe the client so desires. I am "client centered" and believe in letting the client taking the driver seat.
