Debbie Mitchell is a Register Clinical Social Worker Intern with the State of Florida. She holds a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Human Services from Indiana Wesleyan University and a Master’s of Science Degree in Clinical Social Work from Indiana University. Debbie provides psychotherapy to children, adolescents, couples, and families. She has experience working closely with children and adults who have intellectual disabilities. Debbie has worked with students who participate in the IDEA Program in the Martin County School System. She works ongoing with students on the Autism Spectrum. She also has experience in mental health case management and care management in the healthcare field. Debbie focuses on treating a variety of mental health conditions such as depression, anxiety, bipolar, personality disorders, and schizoaffective disorder. She provides person-centered therapy that is solution-focused, goal-oriented, and strength-based. During treatment clients are able to recognize a sense of hope, feel empowered, and live life more freely.
