Hi, my name is Chatham Lovette, and I am a registered clinical social work intern (RCSW-I) and outpatient therapist at Dr. Tripp & Associates. I specialize in providing trauma-informed psychotherapy to individuals, couples, and families. I hold a master’s degree in clinical social work with a concentration in mental health and trauma from the University of Denver, as well as a master’s degree in philosophy and cultural studies from the State University of New York.
Before transitioning to clinical social work, I taught philosophy and cultural studies at various universities and colleges throughout the country. This background enriches my practice by allowing me to integrate theoretical insights with practical clinical techniques. My therapeutic approach blends trauma-focused modalities with psychodynamic principles to help clients unearth and process diverse affective patterns that shape their narratives of self and relationships with others. I am passionate about supporting clients in exploring their modes of attachment and fostering personal + communal growth through self-discovery.
I work primarily with adults and couples to provide both in-person and tele-health services for wide range of psychopathologies and concerns including C/PTSD, depression, anxiety, personality disorders, and relationship challenges. My approach uses a trauma-focused lens to incorporate evidence-based modalities and psychodynamic psychotherapy. I am also passionate about working with justice-affected individuals and communities. I am a trained Batterer Intervention Facilitator and have extensive experience working with domestic violence survivors in both individual and group settings.
Located in the Tampa Bay Area, I am committed to creating a safe space for clients to process emotions, achieve treatment goals, and build fulfilling lives. I invite you to reach out today!
